synopsis: After his girlfriend dies, David resorts to selling his soul to the Devil just to see her one more time. When we are weak, we are easily deceived. This short is about a weak minded individual, played by Brandon Craig, who cannot go on another minute without seeing his love, Tanya, portrayed by Zalika Thomas. Ronn Ausborne's Devil has previously enticed David into some sort of deal. The short picks up right as the deal is about to go down. Director's notes are below.

director's notes:
This short was shot in one day, about 4 hours. We picked a muted color pallet, where each color represents something. Mark's (Brian Trewitt) shirt is white, which represents good, heaven, light, positivity, etc. David's (Brandon Craig) shirt is gray, resembling being torn between both sides, stuck in the middle...he can go either way at this point. For The Devil (Ronn Ausborne), we chose to skip the cliched red tie and go for the red handkerchief in the jacket pocket. He also wears black, representing the dark side, evil, negativity. I also chose to have The Devil wear sunglass to hide his eyes, which is another sign that David is getting played. You will also notice that both girls, Tanya (Zalika Thomas) and The Devil's Girl (Sara Wright) both wear black tops. The flashing signal to David that he was being deceived was Tanya in black, but his mind was clouded and he couldn't see it. When most people, in movies or life, have visions of loved one's in heaven, they are usually in white or light colors, Tanya is in black, dark colors.

Once The Devil shows his hand, it becomes apparent to David that he has been deceived and there is nothing he can do about it. David looks back at the light, Mark, his best friend, his "out", as he is escorted away by The Devil. This is to show one, that David knows what's going on and two the situation is beyond his physical control.

Other elements, such as the sky, which was noticed by Brandon Craig in the original cut to be too blue, too happy. Brandon mentioned a trick from a previous movie I did and it really added to the element of the movie. Behind David, the sky is white and behind The Devil, the sky is almost evil looking and green. The clouds are wicked looking. We were helped out by mother nature, because the sky was overexposed (blown-out) behind David, but just right the other way. This actually helped us this atmosphere of good and evil.
